Friday the 13th was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A- a day that my sister and I hold very near and dear to our hearts....WE LOVE CHICK-FIL-A!! So this year we did something crazy...absolutley crazy.... we had Chick-Fil-A for breakfast...and lunch....and dinner!!
I didn't get any picture at breakfast because it was raining and we went through the drive-thru. We then drove downtown to share our yummies with my dad and to let him see the grandbabies dressed as cows. Of course, he had to show them off to the whole office.
Then we headed over to Chandler Fashion Center before lunch to do a little shopping and walking around and to let the girls play on the playground for a little while. I got some new Bare Minerals powder because I finally ran out of the one I got in beauty school- and Jessica got a Starbucks drink. While we were waiting for her order, the girls posed for a few photos.
After that, we went over to the Chick-Fil-A across the freeway to get some lunch. It was packed!
They were handing out cow hats at the door. People who were only wearing cow hats got a free entree, but since we were all decked out we all got free meals. Unforntunately, Jess and I were still pretty full from breakfast, so brought home left overs. The girls gobbled theirs up though.
Naturally, after we were done eating, the girls had to get their picture taken with the cow!
After lunch, we rushed over to Uncle Nathan's office to pick him up from work (oh, the joys of being a single car family!) and then we headed over to the Maricopa County animal shelter to look at puppies- since we told the girls we would look at puppies at the mall, but the pet store was closed! By the time we were done there, they were all puppied out. They had so many tiny little pups- I just wanted to scoop them all up and take them home with me. That is not a good place to take a baby-hungry dog lover!
After the shelter, we came back to our house and the girls play in the hose/sprinklers and then take a much needed rest before we went to Superstition Springs Mall to meet Nana and Grandpa for dinner.
Oh, and how cool is this? Chick-Fil-A put books in the kids meals instead of toys! Melody was excited, even though they got the same book for both meals.
Everywhere we went that day, people told us how cute the girls looked and asked why we were dress the way we were. So many people were shocked that Chick-Fil-A would just give away free food and other people were like "That was today?! Oh! I can't believe I missed it this year!!"
It was a super fun day, but it wore me out! Also, I don't think I will be craving Chick-Fil-A any time soon.
