So, we have entered the second month of the year (already?!?!?!)- February! The month of Valentines Day!! The holiday celebrating love! I love Love. Love is awesome. When I was in high school- or maybe junior high- I don't remember- I started collecting love quotes. I have always loved love songs. Love movies aren't bad either!
So I have decided that everyday this month I am going to post something Love related! <3 <3 <3
To start the month I will share something I wrote my senior year in my college prep writing class. We had to pick a simile and then write a paper about it. The simile I chose was:
Love is Like Water
Love is like water. No matter where you go, you'll be able to find it. It's a concept accepted by all cultures. All living things need it to survive; it's an essential element of all life. Love strengthens, refreshes, and helps things to grow. Love extinguishes the angry flames of sorrow within the soul. Although it is universally understood what love is made of, it's not something that can be created in a science lab. It's a part of who we are. There are huge amounts of it on the planet, but only a very small percentage is the true, thirst quenching love that everyone longs for. Love is all around us; love is like water.
I can't believe it's been 7 years since I wrote that. Craziness!! Anyway- I hope you liked it and I hope you will check back in and see what other lovey stuff I have in store this month!
